Reverse, Upstream & Per-App SSL
Reverse proxy, upstream chaining, per-app SSL, and the MinPin Helper.
Reverse Proxy
Stand up a second listener that forwards to a target host:port, useful for debugging a service without changing client config. Configure the listen port and target in Settings → Network → Reverse Proxy (or Tools → Reverse Proxy…) (PRO).
Upstream (External) Proxy
Chain MinPin through a corporate or debugging proxy. Supports HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 upstreams, with optional auth and a bypass list. Configure it in Settings → Network → Upstream Proxy (PRO).
Per-App SSL Decode
Enable SSL decoding by app / process (bundle identifier) instead of (or in addition to) domain. MinPin resolves the client process for each connection, so you can decode just one app's traffic. Add apps on the Apps tab of Tools → SSL Proxying List….
MinPin Helper
An optional privileged helper (Settings → Tools → Install Helper). On macOS 13 and later you approve it in Login Items & Extensions; on macOS 12 you enter your admin password. It makes system-proxy switching work on non-admin accounts and under stricter security policies, and restores your previous proxy if MinPin quits unexpectedly. Without it, MinPin switches the system proxy itself on admin accounts, and you can always point apps at 127.0.0.1:8080 manually.
