Map Local

Serve a local file instead of the real response.

Map Local (PRO) returns a file from disk for any request matching a URL pattern, ideal for testing a UI against a fixed payload or a not-yet-deployed API response.

Fastest start: right-click a captured request (or use the Request menu) → Map Local… to add a rule prefilled with its URL, its Content-Type, and its response body saved as the file to serve. Or choose Save Response… to write the decompressed body to a file you can then edit.

  1. Open Tools → Map Local… (⌘⌥L) and click +.
  2. Set the URL pattern (a URL prefix, or a pattern with *) and click Choose… to pick the local file to serve.
  3. Matching requests now receive your file's contents.
NoteIf the mapped file is missing, MinPin returns a 502 rather than dropping the connection, so the failure is obvious.
